In collaboration with one of the country’s leading engineering and process companies in the field of upgrading biogas plants, Aquagain has just completed work on yet another plant.
This is now our 10th biogas plant across the country, and we have already started work on the next upgrading plant.
Biogas upgrading is necessary so that raw gas can be used in the gas grid. Biogas typically consists of 60-65% methane and 35-40% carbon dioxide.
The upgrading of the raw biogas is a process where carbon dioxide is removed through one of several possible treatment techniques - membrane plant, amine plant or water scrubbers. The size and conditions of the biogas plant determine the choice of technique.
